Childcare and Preschool

What is a Childcare and Preschool?

A Childcare and Preschool is a center designed to provide care, education, and overall development for children in their early years of life. During this crucial stage, children acquire cognitive, emotional, social, and physical skills that lay the foundation for their future.

At La Cabaña de la Abuela, we focus not only on academic learning and the development of motor and social skills, but also on instilling essential values that will guide children in their growth. We firmly believe that early education should include principles that strengthen both character and spiritual life.

Our Foundation: A Life Based on Respect and Love

One of the most important aspects we teach in our program is the value of respect to God, to parents, and to teachers. We believe that a child who learns to obey with love and respect develops discipline, responsibility, and a positive attitude toward life.

Respect to God: Through age-appropriate stories, songs, and teachings, we show children the importance of living with values like love, gratitude, respect, and kindness.

Respect to Parents: We teach that the family is the first learning nucleus, where children should respect and follow the teachings of their parents, recognizing their authority and love.

Respect to Teachers: We encourage respect for educators, promoting active listening, cooperation, and responsibility within the classroom.

Through educational activities, games, dynamics, and an environment of love and respect, we help each child grow with a solid foundation of principles that will serve them throughout their life. At La Cabaña de la Abuela, we not only care for and educate children but also sow in them eternal values that will accompany them on their journey.

Curriculum

Spanish and English immersion program

La Cabaña de la Abuela has evolved as a two-way Spanish and English immersion program, giving our students the great and unique opportunity of learning a second language and for some a third language.

We provide a curriculum appropriate for the specific needs of each child in our care. Each month in our newsletter we send out to our parents what we are planning on working throughout the month like Art, Social, Motor, Literacy at the same time giving our teachers the freedom to be creative and do what they feel is best for their students each day.

We have a set routine that is predictable for our students, it gives them the security of knowing what to expect each day, kids learn through play, we offer as much time as we can in our day for them to play, we let them learn and explore with hands on.
