Family Day Care History

Our program La Cabaña de la Abuela started by Laurys Duno D’ Pacheco and her mother Laura Navarro, with the propose to provide quality education with fundamentals in love of God, however Laurys was blessed when she listen words stimulation from Mayly Bueno is Chicago IL USA in 2020, because all her life Laurys and her family has full immersion time with kids.

Laurys was working for a long time with kids in Latin America and specifically in Venezuela with different educational values programs for 30 years.

In 2020 Laurys started her studies in Oregon State in the United State of America (USA), however she has a long trajectory in her country Venezuela serving a lot of families with educational programs.

In April 2023 we are currently writing history in the USA.

Curriculum

Spanish and English immersion program

La Cabaña de la Abuela has evolved as a two-way Spanish and English immersion program, giving our students the great and unique opportunity of learning a second language and for some a third language.

We provide a curriculum appropriate for the specific needs of each child in our care. Each month in our newsletter we send out to our parents what we are planning on working throughout the month like Art, Social, Motor, Literacy at the same time giving our teachers the freedom to be creative and do what they feel is best for their students each day.

We have a set routine that is predictable for our students, it gives them the security of knowing what to expect each day, kids learn through play, we offer as much time as we can in our day for them to play, we let them learn and explore with hands on.

Laurys Duno D’ Pacheco has all the training required for that and has current certification in first aid and infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), completed training on child abuse and neglect that is specific to Oregon law, has current food handler’s certification, approved health and safety training, has completed OCC safe sleep training, she has Diplomat in Pedagogic and Mediation in child and adolescents.

Laurys is Petroleum Engineer and has Master Degrees in different areas, she is working in her Degree in Oregon State about Early Childhood Education and Family Studies, however her passion is to bring education to kids and help families with the purpose of printing good moments and happy times in all her students. Now she is grandmother and her proposes with her husband Albeiro, is provide educational quality to kids in English and Spanish.

She has teacher experience for 30 years working with kids programs in South America and Oregon State, USA.

Laura Navarro has her current certification in first aid and infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), completed training on child abuse and neglect that is specific to Oregon law, has current food handler’s certification, has completed OCC approved health and safety training, safe sleep training.

She is working in her CDA - Child Development Associate Degree and has been working in childcare and early education for over 20 years. Laura is grandmother and love her work for long time with kids because her development was increasing working in a Spanish programs in her country Venezuela. Her inspiration is help kids and guide with love, she is enyoining every day sharing her experience and love with kids programs in Beaverton Oregon State, USA.

Reyna Mavare has current certification in first aid and infant and child cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), has completed training on child abuse and neglect that is specific to Oregon law, has current food handler’s certification, safe sleep training. She is grandmother and love her experience working with kids. She was Manager working for 25 years in Human Resources Management in Venezuela. Now she is happy sharing her love with kids.
